Arrayed in a bleak, unfinished interior, the hooded figures read as bodies reduced to pure drapery—presence without identity—where folds become a mute language of waiting, mourning, and institutional silence. The near-monochrome palette, hovering between ash and stone, binds cloth to concrete so completely that the “people” seem to mineralize into the architecture, as if memory itself has been cast and left to dry. Repetition functions like a chant: each seated form echoes the next, turning individuality into a collective wound and asking whether anonymity is protection, erasure, or both.
