Description
This work stages a provocative dialogue between the certainties of scientific language and the restless, instinctual presence of the natural world: textbook fragments about motion, light, and atoms become a backdrop for exquisitely patterned insects that feel at once archival and alive. The composition pivots between orderly grids of text and panels and the visceral interruption of the enlarged black beetle, whose matte mass and probing legs push into our space like an uninvited variable in an experiment. Warm, granular fields of reds and ochres—spotted like cellular colonies or star-maps—suggest both microscopic life and cosmic dispersion, implying that knowledge accumulates as stain, residue, and anomaly rather than as clean conclusion. By letting entomological bodies drift across the rhetoric of progress, the piece quietly proposes that nature is not merely what science explains, but what continually re-frames and unsettles the act of explanation.
