Description
Rising from a shallow bowl like a relic unearthed, this rusted, block-built monolith fuses architecture with archaeology, its stacked protrusions and recessed voids reading as both windows and wounds. The coarse, oxidized surface catches light unevenly, turning corrosion into a quiet palette of ember-browns that speaks of time’s slow, chemical authorship. Balanced above a ring of rubble, the structure feels simultaneously erected and eroded—an unstable monument to human order set against the inevitability of decay. In its tense verticality and scarred geometry, the work stages a meditation on civilization’s impulse to build, and the earth’s patience in reclaiming.
