This work turns a humble, weathered doorway into a quiet theatre of thresholds—its warped timber and iron bars staging the tension between shelter and confinement, memory and abandonment. Light grazes the splintered grain and stained plaster with near-tactile precision, while the cool greens of creeping leaves press insistently against the architecture, as if nature is rehearsing its return. The ceremonial mask, hovering like a vigilant spirit at the edge of the frame, complicates the scene: part guardian, part witness, it suggests that even neglected spaces retain a charged presence and an unspoken history. In the draped cord and improvised knot, the everyday becomes symbolic—small gestures of control and continuity holding against the slow, inevitable work of time.
