Description
This sculptural work stages a quiet tension between weight and levitation: a ribbed, monolithic column rises like an instrument of measure, while soft, wave-like forms hover above it as if thought has detached from matter. The restrained palette of whites and stone greys allows light to become the true medium, sliding across grooves and curves to animate a dialogue between the disciplined and the fluid. A recessed, bowl-like cavity at the base reads as both receptacle and absence—suggesting memory, ritual, or the body’s imprint—so the piece becomes a meditation on containment and release. In its poised verticality, it feels less like an object than a threshold, where architecture, anatomy, and breath briefly converge.
