Born in 1977, Nilesh Nikam’s meditative paintings evoke a feeling of tranquillity in the viewer.Mystical motifs, , textural play, layered application and Indian traditional motifs are complemented by a vibrant colour palette. Each canvas is bifurcated spatially and can be interpreted as a metaphor to one’s spiritual aura vs. one’s worldly aura. The best part of the paintings is that they do not have a fixed interpretation.
