ABOUT ARTIST BARNALI RAY
I am Barnali Ray, professional painter and teacher. Impression art is my likeness and I express my artwork through loose water colour. Painting is an integral part of my life and would like to be recognized as artist. Beauty of nature attracts me very much and I immerse in painting landscape and floral painting. Watercolour, Acrylic, Oil are my medium of expression.
Subjects and Mediums:
My favourite subjects are landscape and flowers. I feel connected to nature through this. Outdoor painting which I enjoy the most and have been in different spots in Bengaluru and other parts of India. Besides I paint Indian historical monuments, temples and cultures.
Art is my passion and keep painting from my childhood. I have completed 5th year diploma in fine arts from Bangiya Kala Parisath. In recent years, I have learnt from national and international artist though workshop and online coaching.
I have organized national-level exhibition in Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath, Bengaluru during 17th -23rd February 2020. The week-long exhibition drew interest of art lovers and 40 out of 60 paintings were sold. The exhibition was highlighted in newspaper and tv.
Also I participated in international art exhibition in Bangladesh, Indonesia and in many national level including Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath.
Workshop: Live demonstration given in Mystery of water colour, Festival of India. Free Art competition and workshop held by me at SCT college, Bengaluru in October, 2019.
Art Teacher: I run my own art academy called Shree Radha Art Academy where more than 50 students are getting trained from me on different topics and mediums. In this pandemic year, I teach through online.
I am present in Social Media. Shree Radha Art Academy is a facebook page where more than 100 active members are there, who posts regularly their art works. My art works are published in many national, international facebook pages. My Instagram account is Instagram.com/barnaliray.artist where all my artworks are listed.
It was a great event in Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath, where 40 art works got sold during the exhibition. Artists from all over India paticipated and the event came in the local tv channel and news paper.
Many of my art works got sold from my facebook and instagram page. Also I have done many portrait and landscape as commisioned works.
